[00:00:00] Sarah Noel Block: Next step, we are going to talk about core offers. A core offer is something that you are known for. It could also be called a signature offer or a signature product, but it is the fundamental, the foundational product or service that your business offers, and it's what your customers come to know you for.

[00:00:22] Sarah Noel Block: It's the main thing that your business provides, and it's usually a primary source of. So what is a core offer? We talked about this a little bit during the content strategy because a content, a core offer also really needs to align with your content strategy, but it gives your customers a clear idea of what the business stands for and what it can do for them.

[00:00:47] Sarah Noel Block: So you really wanna understand. With your core offer, what value does it provide? What do people get at the end of it? What is, what goal will they accomplish? [00:01:00] And it also, it gives your co your customers a lot more confidence that you can provide what you say you're going to provide. Because this is your thing.

[00:01:11] Sarah Noel Block: This is what you've become known for. . Um, it means that marketing gets so much easier for you when you have a core offer. It's your themes will primarily be around that core offer. You know exactly what the results are because that is the thing that you're doing all the time, and it will become a really beautiful thing.

[00:01:35] Sarah Noel Block: It will make your your life so much. And you need to understand that just because you have a core offer does not mean that that's the only thing that you can sell. Your core offer will be, let's say it's the sun , it's the thing in the sun term, but you can still have offshoots having to do with that core offer.

[00:01:56] Sarah Noel Block: So for example, if your core offer is a content [00:02:00] strategy, offshoots of that could be content planning, it could be a workshop, it could be execution services, it could be editing. There are lots of different things you can do that are, your core offer becomes like a triggering point for that. It shoots people over to those other offering.

[00:02:24] Sarah Noel Block: but how do you identify what your core offer is? What are you already known for? It is likely that you already have somewhat of a following and that people already know you for this thing. So it will be really easy for people to say, okay, I trust that they know what they're talking about with this core offer, because this is what they talk about online, and these are the people they serve.

[00:02:52] Sarah Noel Block: Um, do most people come to you for a certain service? If you are anything like me, a lot of people reach out [00:03:00] to me for the same exact thing over and over and over again. So that makes it really easy for me to have a core offer. Would you like doing the best? So perhaps people are coming to you for this thing and you're like, dreading it, , every time a discovery call comes in, you're like, oh God, not another.

[00:03:21] Sarah Noel Block: so consider that too. What do you enjoy doing and what is the most profitable service that you already offer? So you might have a lot of people coming to you for a certain service. , and that's fine, but maybe you don't like it or maybe it's not as profitable as some of your other services because it takes you a lot of time, or you need to outsource a good chunk of it.

[00:03:48] Sarah Noel Block: So that is something to also consider. You wanna find a core offer that you enjoy doing, it's profitable and that you can be known for. [00:04:00] Okay, we're gonna wrap that up and then we'll get into pricing.
